Gary Perkinson posted a condolence

Wow...I'm so sorry to hear this...Billy was one of my best friends in high school, and I spent a lot of time in the Nash household on Pheasant Ridge Dr. As someone else mentioned, he was definitely one of the funniest people I ever met. I remember sitting next to him in class at LaSalle. The classroom would be completely silent, and Bill would suddenly burst out, "Come on, Gary, leave me alone...I'm trying to study." Not surprisingly, I would be the one who then got in trouble... :-) Anyway, my deepest condolences to the Nash family...Billy was one of a kind, and I'll never forget him...see you on the other side, pal...

My deepest sympathies to the Nash family. I am currently abroad and was sent a message by a mutual friend telling me this extremely sad news. Billy was hands down the funniest as well as one of the smartest guys I ever loved. His knowledge of baseball was encyclopedic, he had a stellar voice, and he was the best damned bartender in the region, always making customers feel like a million dollars.
Favorite memory: we had broken up and he came to my house unannounced after work to make a plea to get me back, only he had grease all over his shoes from the restaurant, so while he was making an academy award winning speech, my two new kittens were licking his shoes the entire time. He kept looking down at them and saying “guys, can you give me a (expletive) break here?” I laughed so hard I cried. Billy was such a light in this world.

I can still see Billy hurrying to get to school when he'd miss the bus. I'd pick him up and get him there on my way to work. Even on that shirt ride, he'd always make me laugh. I know he'll be missed. Michele Santoli ( Pheasant Ridge)
