In loving memory of Robert Louis Trudeau – colleague, mentor, and friend – who was always generous with his time and his knowledge.
I was a temporary hire back in 1994 when I first began working at Trudeau Architects. Bob, who sat a few desks behind me, would occasionally call me over to show me what he was working on. He took the time, even for a temporary hire (and later a full-time employee), to do this: to explain the concept behind his design and what he was thinking; sometimes even giving me a tour of the work in progress. He continued sharing his work and his experience with the members of the firm, both on projects for the office and around his home, and it was inspiring, It reminded me, in between the firm’s other work, of what I was working toward in my career. I’m forever thankful for his kindness, his humor, and the expertise he shared with us. Rest in peace, Bob.
