I had the pleasure and great honor of working with Denise the past 14 years at the Lottery. She was, without a doubt, one of a kind. She always made me smile and had a way of brightening my day. She loved to laugh and was so good at making everyone else laugh too. She and I referred to each other as "witchy poo". I will miss that greeting each day as well as the "Watch it little missy" when I kidded her about one thing or another. I can't even begin to tell anyone how much she will be missed by all of us at the New York Lottery. She was a very special lady and we all loved her dearly. Denise was a person who could make you laugh at a moments notice. Just when your day seemed to be the worst you could hear her saying something funny. I will miss her uplifting spirit.

I only briefly knew Denise but I will always remember her because frequently as I walked into work in the morning she was being dropped off by her husband. Every time I saw her she would kiss her husband, pet her dogs, and exit the car with a smile. Touched by this, I one day said "Denise, you look like you have a blessed life." She smiled and responded "I do".
I will always remember her as a person that was at peace and genuinely happy with herself and her life. God Bless Denise.

Having to give up someone we love is never easy, no matter how good life has been or how warm the memories, the time is never enough.
