Dear Jonathan,
Happy Birthday in Heaven! I missed sending this message on your birthday because my computer was on the blink and you were not here to show me what to do! I thought of you all day, as I do every day, of your sweetness, your unconditional and boundless love and your humor and kind heart. What a gift you were to me, what joy you gave me and still do when I think about you! There is no one like you, and your were too good for this world. I know that you are in a better place and that I will see you again, and until then, button up your overcoat!
Love always,
Mommy

I know the pain you are going through, I too lost a child. The pain at times is more than we think we can bare. Look to family and friends for support and confort. Let them help now if they'd like. Seek the Lord, he will be able to help you. Time does help some, but it always hurts. You are in my prayers, from one mother to another, take care and God Bless you all.

Dear Jonathan,
I have so many cherished memories of you and the time we shared together. You were an amazing friend and in many ways the love of my life. You showed me so many things... music, photography, the west coast, MV, the redwoods, cities, night after 9pm, Reno, the meaning behind the words.... the list is endless and I will never forget. I will make it to Marconi for you ... I know that is what you would have wanted.
Good Bye- JSW

I met Jon when he moved back east through his old friend Todd DeWolf, he was a very cool and very sweet kid. We worked together at Pennell's in Saratoga and had a lot of fun sweating and rocking out to a shared love of music (especially Neil Young!). I used to visit him after work at The Springwater with all of that crew. After he moved to Galway I didn't see him as much and we were supposed to check out each others new houses but we lost touch until recently and went to a QOTSA show at Northern lights. He gave me a free ticket, very generous, and we hoped to hang out more, now that we were back in touch. I am terribly sad that it won't happen now and my thoughts are with his family right now. I am so sorry for your loss. Know that he was loved by many at Pennell's and The Springwater and in Saratoga. With deepest sympathy, Phil Donnelly

As a young boy, I spent alot of time with my sister Carole and brother-in-law Billy and their children Jonathan and Michelle. I remember Jonathan as a very funny, inquisitive and "busy" little boy. He was cute and cuddly like a little eskimoe. I remember baby-sitting him sometimes and I took him with me to Motor Vehicle to renew my license when he was three. As I waited in line, Jonathan entertained the whole place! Everyone loved him. I moved to Arizona in 1979, so I did not get to spend alot of time with him growing up. The few times I visited New York and was able to see him, I could tell that he grew to be a very special man, so gentle and loving and sweet. I wish I had been able to spend more time with him and will love and miss him always. Our hearts go out to you, Carole and Billy, as we know as no one else does how it feels to lose a son. And to Michelle to lose a brother. You are all in our prayers, and we will be there for you as you have been there for us.

I just want you to know how much I miss you and will always miss you. My life wont be the same without you. I know you're resting peacefully now, and I just want you to know how lucky I feel to have had you in my life. Wherever you are now, I'll see you when I get there, and we can go bowling and we'll both bowl 300's. I love you i love i love you so much. Rest In Peace, i'll always hold you in my heart.

Sweet Jonathan:
It has been so long since I have seen you, but, what is in my minds eye always is you walking up to me with your arms out and that beautiful smile and giving me a big hug and saying "Angel, its so good to see you!. The way you viewed this world and this life with such innocence, you were an "Angel" on this earth and really too good for this place. I will always treasure my memories of you when you were a little tot, with that thick curly black hair and beautiful smile, always happy, never a tear, jumping in your pool with your little water wings, again, with that beautiful smile. I would give anything right now to tell you how much I loved you, my sweet cousin, and how I wish I would have been able to see you more as we all got older, but I know you are with Dad, Chris, and your Grandma and Grandpa now and at peace. You will forever remain in my heart and in the hearts of all those you touched in your short life. Rest now precious, rest now.
Love,
Your cousin Angel
